About George

I've been drawing cartoons as long as I can remember. I can recall my Dad encouraging me when I was in 8th grade to consider a career in drawing. I thought it would be very cool to actually be making a living at it! I was rather discouraged though in my first year of graphic design during college. No computers back then, it's was all paper and pencil and the talent around me was eye opening at best.

It wasn't till 1997 I found myself back in school hoping to get the skills needed to get into the I.T. computer world. I thought I would take a few graphic courses as well. It was then, with the help of these amazing programs called Illustrator and PhotoShop, my creative drawing side was again released.

While earning a certificate in graphic design and creating my first version of G.G.com., I realized most of my fellow classmates were focusing on the printing aspect of graphic design while I was leaning towards the digital art form.

Classmates who knew I was interested in web design were actually referring me to people who were interested in having a web site for their company.

It was then I became hooked and knew this is what I wanted to do.

That's the inspirational story, the next part is simply the work part. In 99' I was fortunate to hear of a job fair for a company called TriNet where I was hired and currently work for. While at TriNet I have attended several web and FLASH seminars including a class on XML at a local college.

Maybe the most valuable tool for learning the art of web design and development is were you are at this very moment, no not GG.com though I hope it helps inspire you, but the internet itself. I have been able to find most all answers concerning design and coding right here starting with a google or yahoo.
